Caroline & Oliver’s Sunny Summer Wedding at Kingscote Barn
There’s something pretty special about a summer wedding in the Cotswolds, and Caroline and Oliver’s beautiful wedding at Kingscote Barn certainly didn’t disappoint. With glorious sunshine, an outdoor ceremony, plenty of laughter and even a visit from an ice cream van, it was the perfect day from beginning to end.
Getting Ready at Kingscote Barn
The day began with bridal preparations with Caroline and her bridal party. There’s always such a lovely mixture of excitement and anticipation during this part of a wedding day, and I love capturing all those little moments as everyone gets ready.
Meanwhile, my second photographer joined Oliver and his wedding party over at the barn for his preparations. Having two photographers meant we could capture both sides of the morning without Caroline or Oliver missing out — and later they could each see what the other had been up to before the ceremony!
A Beautiful Outdoor Ceremony
Guests began arriving ready for Caroline and Oliver’s early afternoon ceremony and, thankfully, the British weather was VERY much on our side!
With blue skies and gorgeous sunshine, their ceremony could take place outside in the beautiful grounds of Kingscote Barn.
The relaxed atmosphere continued throughout the afternoon, with plenty of laughter, congratulations and time for everyone to enjoy the venue. We captured their family photographs and couple portraits while still giving Caroline and Oliver plenty of time to simply enjoy being with their guests.
Wedding Breakfast… and Ice Cream!
After the ceremony and photographs, everyone headed inside for a fantastic three-course wedding breakfast.
But there was another treat waiting afterwards…
The Marshfield Ice Cream van!
On a hot, sunny wedding day, I’m not sure you can beat an ice cream van turning up. It went down VERY well — and yes, I can personally confirm it was delicious. 😂🍦
It was also another brilliant opportunity for relaxed, natural photographs of everyone enjoying themselves before the evening celebrations began.
First Dances and a Little Disney Magic
After cutting their wedding cake, it was time for Caroline and Oliver to take to the dance floor for their first dance, followed by a lovely father-daughter dance.
And then came the moment that nearly finished me off…
Happily Ever After. 🥹✨
As a Disney fan, hearing that particular song during a wedding was always going to get me, and I’ll happily admit there may have been a slightly emotional wedding photographer behind the camera!
Caroline and Oliver’s Kingscote Barn wedding was such a gorgeous day to photograph — beautiful sunshine, a stunning Cotswolds setting and, most importantly, a day filled with genuine laughter and lovely moments.
